Jacob Smith
Jacob Smith is the Director of Finance and Operations at Helena Special Investments, where he oversees fund administration, financial management, and compliance across the firm’s investment platforms.
Prior to joining Helena, Jacob served as Director of Finance and Fund Operations at Soma Capital Management, a $1B AUM early-stage venture capital firm, where he managed financial operations for multiple venture funds and special purpose vehicles. He also held senior roles at SAX Capital and Osceola Capital Management, supporting executive leadership in developing and executing operational frameworks to drive institutional growth, streamline fund administration and reporting, and strengthen transparency for limited partners and stakeholders.
Jacob holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Florida. Beyond his professional work, he has been actively involved in several domestic and international nonprofit initiatives, reflecting a continued commitment to service and impact. He and his wife are deeply engaged in the foster care community, both adopting and fostering children, and actively supporting organizations that serve and protect society’s most vulnerable.
