FIRST PRINCIPLES

Helena is a global organization with one purpose. We identify potential solutions to societal problems and work to implement them.

The way we do this is through individual, one by one Helena Projects.

Helena Projects

Helena Projects are individual efforts to identify, study, and implement potential solutions to global problems. Our deeply held philosophy is that each project should be a unique effort derived from objective, first principles analysis.

Sometimes, we believe the most effective method to implement a project is through non-profit action. In these cases, Helena operates projects that are led and funded through non-profit entitie(s), including Helena Group Foundation. These projects are designated as “non-profit” on their associated project pages on this website.

Sometimes, we believe that the most effective method to implement a project is through for-profit action, including investment and/or the founding and operation of businesses. In these cases, Helena operates projects that are led and funded and through for profit entitie(s), including Helena Special Investments, LLC. These projects are designated as “profit” on their associated project pages on this website.

Helena Group Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization formed to conceive and operate projects that solve important global issues for the benefit of society. Helena Special Investments, LLC is a privately-owned limited liability company that operates in business activities that have the potential to transformatively address societal problems while targeting attractive returns to investors.

Helena Members

The Helena Membership represents our core ability to analyze global trends and problems, source and develop potential solutions to those problems, and implement those solutions.

Helena Members have developed the ideas for projects, they have led projects, funded them, advised them, and more.

The Members are first-principle, objective thinkers committed to addressing societal problems. We place a special emphasis on identifying members who play a role in the most crucial movements, technologies, and domains that will shape the next 50 years.

The membership is highly unique in nature. There is no membership fee, no application process, and no formal procedures. No one can buy access to the Helena membership, and the Helena membership does not partner with or have a relationship with any outside organization, company, government, or entity.

Through the Helena membership, we hope to create a bold, diverse and effective social institution that not only represents a better future society, but helps shape it.
