The Future of Power

I’ve always enjoyed and valued Nye’s writings, his theories of neoliberalism and soft power, and his work at the National Intelligence Council. This book, his exploration of power in the 21st century, was unsurprisingly well done, although I do admit I wish he had gone a bit further. Nye lays the groundwork brilliantly on the myriad ways in which the internet and decentralization affect and will affect power dynamics geopolitically, but he does leave a bit in the tank when it comes to making more ambitious predictions.
