Summary

I’m really becoming a sucker for Rovelli’s books. He is a remarkable writer. You often forget, when wading through his prose, that he is telling you about some of the most complex concepts in all of physics. His writing is approachable, it’s inspired, and it draws you into concepts seemingly previously inaccessible. Here, he tackles quantum gravity, beginning with the brilliant anecdote of Democritus’s atomic theory, and the 26-century journey it took until Einstein’s 1905 discovery of General Relativity. Couldn’t recommend this book more.
