Summary

A solid look into Yew’s more contemporary thinking on issues like the future of China, its GDP vs social development during the first half of the 21st century, the future of the United States, the EU, geopolitics in the Middle East as it pertains to the protracted War on Terror, and then a great finishing set of chapters on statecraft and leadership.

The content for this book is from late 2013 and early 2014, which was a worry of mine before reading, due to the fact that this touches on modern times. But it was actually a feature rather than a bug. Yew correctly predicts a crucial set of facts regarding China between 2014-2019, and also makes prescient predictions regarding future executive leadership of the United States.
