Chronicling the journey through Helena’s book recs.
Summary

This was an absolute joy to read. Rosling relentlessly (but gently) challenges quite a lot of basic statistical assumptions society holds (and in some cases, assumptions I held), and does so with elegant quantitative argumentation. The book makes contrarian points on climate change, climate refugees, fear-based activism, public health and the media that are essential reading. It was sad to learn of Rosling’s passing as he completed this book, but heartening to know that his legacy will live on through his and his family’s amazing work.
