A Brief History of Time

It’s hard to overstate how much of a delight this was to read. It’s an explainer for the rest of us curious about the nature of the universe, as well as the biggest debates and movements of contemporary cosmology, string theory, quantum physics, and much more. Hawking’s voice and passion for the subject flow out of every page and his anecdotes are hilarious. I wish I had encountered the book years ago, and plan to dive deeper into Hawking’s writings in the future.
