Rodney Jordan is an award-winning communications leader and strategist and has nearly 15 years of experience with global employee and internal communications teams for Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations.
Before joining Helena, Rodney was Senior Director of Executive & Global Communications at McDonald’s. At McDonald’s, he was responsible for communications to global employees, franchisees, and suppliers around growth, brand, and culture, developing messaging for quarterly earnings, leading communications for the annual shareholders’ meeting, overseeing all CEO communications, and providing 360-degree support for other C-suite leaders, and introducing global communications platforms and channels for the McDonald’s system.
Rodney also served as Director, Community Engagement & Activation for The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he led a team responsible for employee communications, alumni and community relations, archives, the visitor center, and grant-making portfolios.
Prior to this, Rodney lived in London and led employee communications at Coca-Cola Enterprises, where he oversaw efforts to develop and embed employee communications capabilities across the company.
Rodney holds a BA in English Literature from Morehouse College, an MS in Technical and Professional Communication from Southern Polytechnic State University, and an MS in the History and Sociology of Science and Technology from Georgia Tech. He is also a certified Professional of Human Resources and a graduate of the LEAD Atlanta Class of 2010.
