While in college, he became a leader during the Student Movement of Tiananmen Square in 1989. From 1990 to 1996, he attended <a href=\"http://www.columbia.edu/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Columbia University</a> and earned three degrees simultaneously: a B.A. in Economics from Columbia College, a J.D. from Columbia Law School, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. Mr. Li received the <a href=\"http://www.college.columbia.edu/news/five-accomplished-alumni-receive-2012-john-jay-awards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Jay Award</a> for distinguished professional achievement from Columbia University in 2012, and became a member of the <a href=\"http://news.columbia.edu/content/1748\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University’s Board of Trustees</a> in 2017.</p>\n<p>He has served on the boards of a number of companies and civic organizations. He was named a Global Leader for Tomorrow by the <a href=\"https://www.weforum.org/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Economic Forum</a> in 2001, and a Henry Crown Fellow by the <a href=\"https://www.aspeninstitute.org/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aspen Institute</a> in 1998. He is also a recipient of the <a href=\"https://www.coe.int/en/web/portal/raoul-wallenberg-prize\">Raoul Wallenberg Human Rights Award</a> from the Congressional Human Rights Foundation as well as the Reebok Human Rights Award. He is featured in the <a href=\"http://americanhistory.si.edu/family-of-voices\">Family of Voices</a>, a part of the ongoing twenty-year Exhibition, starting in 2017, “<a href=\"http://americanhistory.si.edu/family-voices/individuals/li-lu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Many Voices, One Nation</a>” at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.</p>\n<p>He is a member of <a href=\"https://www.cfr.org/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Council on Foreign Relations</a>, <a href=\"https://www.ypo.org/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Young Presidents Organization</a>, <a href=\"https://www.aspeninstitute.org/programs/henry-crown-fellowship/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Henry Crown Fellow</a>, <a href=\"https://www.pacificcouncil.org/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pacific Council for International Relations</a> and <a href=\"https://committee100.org/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Committee of 100</a>.</p>\n"}],"sidePopups":{"popups":null}}}}},"staticQueryHashes":["2596845680","3227644198","748722205"]}
