David Ambroz is the Executive Director of Corporate Citizenship & Social Responsibility at Disney | ABC Television, where he also leads Internal Communications.
David Ambroz is the Executive Director of Corporate Citizenship & Social Responsibility at Disney | ABC Television, where he also leads Internal Communications. In this capacity he manages DATG’s pro-social and philanthropic efforts, aligning charitable giving and pro-social activities with the business and brand objectives of DATG family of channels, including ABC, Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Jr., Radio Disney, the OTV, ABC News, and other assets. Additionally, David coordinates efforts across platforms and networks to inform and engage Disney | ABC employees.
Prior to joining Disney, David was the Executive Director of Los Angeles City College Foundation. In this role he led all aspects of fundraising, grant application & management, marketing & communication, alumni affairs, and taught American Political Science. Prior this, David was an active attorney.
David received a juris doctorate from the UCLA School of Law. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY.
In his free time, he serves on the Los Angeles City Planning Commission where he has led efforts to pass groundbreaking policy, including environmental protection and inclusive housing laws, as well as the Mobility 2035 Plan and Cannabis Regulation. He was recognized by President Obama as an American Champion of Change.
David has been active on issues regarding homelessness, since his own time living homeless before entering foster care. He also serves as a California Child Welfare Commissioner, and previously served as an ABA Commissioner and contributing writer to Huffington Post. David resides in Hollywood, California with his husband.
